Although many of these hotels can be on the expensive side, cheaper accommodation is nearby and in the less popular area around the western exit of the train station.

Hotels in Nagoya are at their most pricey during the busy summer months, being especially in demand during the city's main festivals and celebrations. These include the Atsuta Matsuri in June and the historic Minato Matsuri festival each July, which takes place around Nagoya port and is responsible for filling up many nearby hotels.

As the country's fourth biggest city, you can expect to find hotels all around Nagoya. Like all of Japan's main cities, the more money you spend, the higher the quality of accommodation.
